In the announcer’s seat at the mighty MCG for Richmond v St Kilda, 2023

On the mic at the Hill Gate for 2023’s Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Jono Venn has been in and around the events and sports presentation space for many years.

Starting out as an audio engineer, he’s since found himself become a commentator and MC for many local sporting events including football and cricket finals, particularly in the Eastern Football Netball League.

From humble beginnings at North Port Oval, to being Voice of the G for a Richmond game, to getting around the wonderful world of basketball thanks to the Melbourne Tigers where, two years later, he was appointed their court announcer- it’s been a fun ride so far!

Other than that, you might hear his voice at Marvel Stadium here and there… he might catch you at the races too.
